Providing Technology Solutions To The Classroom !
The Acer CloudProfessor (CPF) is a super mini-computer the size of a wafer cookie designed and developed by the self-established Cloud Product Team of Acer. CPF integrates cloud technology, software programming, and hardware sensor control into a single computer.
The Internet of Things Starter Kit is the first CPF that was first marketed and sold in Taiwan during Spring 2016. Since then, the IoTSK has participated in over 100 courses throughout summer holiday and learning camps. The IoTSK is a learning kit specifically designed for Cloud and IoT. To start the learning process, the user only needs an Android or iOS phone or tablet, connect the CPF to the Arduino Leonardo control panel, and connect to Cloud. The user can then use the available CPF apps to edit and execute the program codes to achieve remote control and sensor reading through Cloud.
Traditionally, learning about cloud and the IoT is a convoluted process. A learner must find, install, and properly setup a PC with a programming software, generate a relevant firmware, mobile app, cloud program, and gateway programs, and completely establish the system before remote control functions can be achieved through cloud. The learner must also have a certain degree of familiarity with hardware to create a cloud IoT work with basic functions.
The IoTSK can greatly reduce learning difficulties and allow users to quickly learn and master program coding. Any user with a mobile device (cellphone or tablet) will be able to directly connect to cloud through the IoT device, and directly edit program codes on the mobile device to control remote devices by cloud.
